We’re Hiring! Fresh Festival Talent

Fresh Festival Talent is a new opportunity for two people to be empowered to begin work within the festival sector.

As part of AIF’s ongoing commitment to our EDI policies, these roles have been created to widen participation within the festival sector, offering a unique learning opportunity within a one year paid placement. We therefore welcome applications from diverse backgrounds and in particular from currently underrepresented groups (such as Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse people aged 18-25).

You will learn about cross cutting themes in the festivals sector – Safer Spaces; Audience Welfare; Climate Action; Equality whilst have the opportunity to meet several hundred individuals and dozens of organisations all working in the festival sector.

These are two new roles – the Administrative Assistants will primarily assist with the day-to-day administration and operation of AIF. In Summer of 2024, you may also be offered the opportunity to work directly onsite for one or more of our member festivals. The duties of those roles will be assigned by each festival and developed through your own interest in festivals, music or events during your time with AIF.

The role’s have been funded by Youth Music.

AIF are based in Manchester. We are taking a flexible approach and will consider candidates in other locations (within the UK) for this position.The position will be mostly remote / home working, with occasional travel to central Manchester for team meetings, as well as other UK locations as required including on site at festivals.
