JOIN AIF

General:
The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) is a non-profit making subsidiary of the Association of Independent Music Ltd (AIM), which together with its members is bound by its Constitution and Code of Conduct to promote its members’ interests and provide a wide range of benefits for its members. AIF will provide these services in accordance with its Constitution and the instructions prescribed by the Members Committee. Members agree to the following provisions:

Fees:
Membership Fees of AIF are charged at rates prescribed by the Members Committee from time and can be found on the AIF website. The first annual fee will be collected upon completion of the AIF Membership Application Form. Renewal of your membership will occur automatically in each subsequent year on the date that you joined. AIF membership fees must be paid in full for each year (from the date that you joined) in which you are (or have been) a member.

Entry Level membership is only available to festivals joining in the same year in which they hold their first event and with a capacity below 10,000. Members will not be able to attend the bi-monthly meetings. Entry Level membership can only be received for one year after which full price membership will be instated. Discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other membership offers.
Only organisers that reside in the UK but promote a festival that takes place overseas are eligible for this discount. Members receive 30% off of the relevant capacity prices listed above.
* Only international organisers that live overseas and promote a festival that takes place overseas are eligible for this discount. Members receive 50% off of the relevant capacity prices listed above.

Cancellation:
Members may resign from AIF at any time by giving at least seven clear days notice in writing to AIF but shall remain liable for subscriptions and other sums due in respect of the full calendar year from the date that they joined. By way of example, if you join on 1 April and resign on 6 December you shall be liable for fees up to 31 March in the following year. You should keep a copy of your written resignation for your records.

Membership will automatically terminate if a company no longer satisfies the criteria of membership.

AIF will provide these services in accordance with its Constitution and the instructions of its Members Committee.
To be a member of AIF, an applicant must satisfy and comply with the following continuing terms and conditions of AIF membership that it:
➢ produces, operates and is engaged in promoting music and arts festivals; and

➢ is not owned by any company that has a dominant position in the global festival industry. Final discretion on membership and approval will be with the Members Committee due to the changing nature of the industry; and

➢ agrees that where it owns or is part of a group of companies, that group as a whole joins AIF; and

➢ declares (on AIF’s Declaration of Interests Form) details of all companies, particularly festivals and music corporate or investment groups, which it owns or controls and/or by which it is owned or controlled and

➢ pays AIF’s annual subscription (where payable) as determined by the Members Committee from time to time; and

➢ trades honestly and fairly regarding the public, its suppliers and customers, and doesn’t engage in conduct which is otherwise unbefitting of a member of AIF; and

➢ agrees to comply with and be bound by the provisions of the AIF Constitution, AIF Code of Conduct and the Fair Ticketing Charter; and

➢ agrees to abide by rules and other provisions prescribed by the Members Committee from time to time
