New Government Legislation Announced to Protect Live Music Venues

17 Mar 2016

The music industry has welcomed the new Government legislation to protect music venues with open arms and a big bear hug, following a meeting with Ministers at the Department For Communities And Local Government and Culture Minister Ed Vaizey MP. The new (common sense) regulations coming into effect on April 6, 2016 mean developers are now required to seek prior approval on noise impacts before a change of use from an office to residential building can be carried out. You can read more about the new legislation on Music Week.
