More Live Nation Acquisitions
Live Nation have acquired 3 more festivals in the past few weeks including Secret Sounds’ Falls Festival and Splendour in the Grass in Australia and Sweden Rock festival in Sweden. 2016 has seen them publicly announce seven major global acquisitions in territories all around the world including France, Greece, South Africa, Canada and Australia. Their festival portfolio is now comprised of 80 festivals including Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Electric Daisy Carnival, Reading, Leeds and Rock Werchter. In November they had spent ‘$113.1m on net acquisitions in the first nine months of 2016’, up 29% from the same time last year. The number of artists managed by Live Nation owned companies has also increased from 280 in 2014 to 350 in 2016 and they also now own more than 165 venues across the globe.
