Let’s Be The Change
Director of Entertainment Intelligence Sammy Andrews launched a new initiative last week in the hopes to make industry speaker lineups more diverse moving forward. Let’s Be The Change is a directory of females who work in the music/entertainment/live industry who would be interested in speaking at conferences and other events. Sammy said “I’m getting increasingly frustrated with the perpetual fu**ing sausagefest that is the state of our conferences on the whole but, rather than sit complaining about it, I want to actively change it, to be the change I want to see, to shine a light on all of the amazing women that exist in our industry and help provide the next generation with inspiration, support and visible role models.” The directory also looks to tackle the ethnic side of diversity running another directory in tandem for event organisers to draw inspiration from.
