She continues to also operate in a freelance capacity, primarily offering Event Control services for large one day and multi-day camping music festivals. Over the course of the Covid pandemic, Judy used her unexpected free time to co-establish an organisation to challenge the issues of diversity and inclusion within the UK festival industry. As a part of this she has worked on several anti-harassment campaigns including Halt Harassment, a Bristol based initiative for the night-time economy, and MDLBEAST in Saudi Arabia to deliver a bold, ground-breaking anti-harassment campaign and operation at Soundstorm 2021. Judy has also been an active member of the DCMS/Festivals and Outdoor events working group over 2020/21 working with industry members and the government on developing Covid guidance, and event industry strategies for managing Covid, local authorities and navigating government legislation and guidance.
