| Session: The State of Independents, Event Suite, 12:15-13:00 | Jamie Tagg is Festival Director of Mighty Hoopla, an annual 25,000 cap pop music festival in London's Brockwell Park. Co-Founder of Noisy Kitchen, a commercial talent agency in partnership with Fearne Cotton and a Director of Sink The Pink, the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ club night. Starting his career as a club promoter in Swansea whilst a student, Tagg went on to help transform the city's nightlife into the No.1 student ranked city in the country for entertainment. Booking the likes of Florence & The Machine, Ed Sheeran, Chase and Status and Two Door Cinema Club during his spell as the University's Ents Manager. After several years as a venue manager in Cardiff and then a talent agent in London, he joined forces with Sink The Pink to create East Creative Ltd, a LGBTQ+ creative agency that works with international brands such as YSL, Agent Provocateur, Google and has collaborated with artists including Little Mix, Sophie Ellis Bextor and P!nk. In 2016 East Creative partnered with DJ and broadcaster Fearne Cotton to set up Noisy Kitchen, a commercial talent agency that today boasts the likes of Melanie C, Reggie Yates, Kate Nash and Gok Wan on the roster. As Festival Director of Mighty Hoopla, Tagg oversees the entire festival's operations from ticketing to partnerships to talent booking. In 2019 Tagg co-founded Summer Events, which currently operates the festival programme in Brockwell Park, (South London) including Cross The Tracks and Wide Awake among others, which are set to attract over 170,000 people to the park in 2022.
