Director at CPR Communications

Gordon Duncan

| Session: Crisis Communications Workshop, Studio 2, 14:45-15:30 | Gordon has been a music PR for 30 years, working in-house at Arista and Polydor before setting up artist PR agency APB in 1998, where clients have included Spice Girls, Massive Attack, Snow Patrol, Ian Brown, Emeli Sandé, James Bay, Blossoms, Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan and many more. As part of the Zeitgeist festival team from 2012 to 2018, he found a natural role managing the grittier end of event PR and worked closely with The Loop on their ground-breaking introduction of substance testing at UK live events. In 2018 he founded CPR Communications, helping event teams implement systems to deal with communications challenges before, during and after the show. He advised Sheffield’s Tramlines team throughout their participation in the Events Research Programme and worked with several other high-profile events to manage the intense media interest in their return last summer and autumn. He was a Music Week Awards nominee in 2020 and won the Music Industry Award at the Scottish Music Awards in 2021.
