End Of The Road announces UK exclusive appearance of supergroup to headline
End of The Road Festival today announced Gene Clark No Other Band, with members of Beach House, Grizzly Bear and Fleet Foxes as the final headliner for the Salisbury based Festival, taking place 29 – 31st August.
In a UK premier and a UK exclusive of the unique collaboration, the headliners will be joining a bill also topped by Flaming Lips and Wild Beasts. The Gene Clark No Other Band sees Beach House’s Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen and ex-Fairport Convention member Iain Matthews come together with members of Wye Oak and Celebration to reconstruct the Byrds’ Gene Clark’s 1974 masterpiece No Other.
To complement the Gene Clark No Other Band’s performance, the festival has confirmed a special screening of The Byrd Who Flew Alone, 2013’s acclaimed documentary film about the extraordinary life and work of Gene Clark.
Alongside this, the EOTR team also announced that the likes of Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, St Vincent, tUnE-yArDs, Jenny Lewis, Felice Brothers and Black Lips will be playing the event.
The Festival takes place within the beautiful setting of Larmer Tree Gardens, where you can be sure to hang out with some peacocks, drink a locally brewed hot cider, catch some comedy, watch some amazing bands and soak up the last rays of summer.
