Readipop festival is Reading’s independent, music & arts festival set beside the River Thames at Christchurch Meadows. The three-day event runs on the second weekend in July and international headliners performing alongside great new music and emerging artists supported by the music charity. Readipop has grown from a free Sunday event into a ticketed 3 day boutique festival that aims to entertain a diverse audience.
The festival is run and managed by music and arts charity, Readipop who specialise in delivering innovative projects to those ‘in need’ including people with disabilities, mental health issues, learning difficulties, low esteem or young learners finding it hard to stay in school.
We also work with older people, in youth clubs on deprived estates and tackling issues within society such as reducing reoffending. Sometimes creativity is over-looked and it can be hard to measure. However, at Readipop we see small successes everyday – proof that engaging in creativity has life-changing positive outcomes.
Readipop Festival celebrates Reading’s creativity and raises vital funds for Readipop. Funds go towards valued work in the community, bringing music to all with workshops and initiatives for those underrepresented in the arts.
