Cheltenham Jazz Festival

Cheltenham has become one of the country’s biggest and best-loved jazz festivals. Our trade-mark mix of international jazz icons, up-and-coming new artists and unique festival performances has seen us host some of the world’s greatest musicians over the Bank Holiday weekend. Previous artists include Jamie Cullum, Hugh Laurie, Eartha Kitt, Roberta Flack, Van Morrison, Gregory Porter, Herbie Hancock, Stephane Grappelli and Ornette Coleman.

Our free-entry festival site in Montpellier Gardens at the heart of Cheltenham is the perfect place to soak up the festival atmosphere between gigs with a feast of outdoor music, a selection of food and drink, and fun family activities. Including our lively fringe programme of over 80 gigs in Cheltenham Town Centre across free outdoor stages, restaurants, bars, and pop-up busking spots, over 20,000 music fans fill the town over the festival weekend.
