Applications Open For Festival Congress Apprentice 2015

National trade organisation and leading festival representational body The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) are seeking an apprentice based in Wales to assist the Event Producer with the planning, co-ordination, delivery and day-to-day administration of the 2015 Festival Congress event. Taking place in Cardiff on 5th and 6th November, the Festival Congress is AIF’s annual flagship event, attracting over 400 delegates and speakers for a two-day conference and celebration of the independent festival industry. The event takes place this year at the Wales Millennium Centre (WMC) and The Great Hall, Cardiff University.

Under the guidance of the Event Producer, the apprentice will assist with various aspects of events planning, including but not limited to: speaker liaison, event logistics, technical production, accreditation and creating advance information packs in addition to liaising with all key parties as directed, including the Producer and AIF team, event partners, sponsors, delegates, exhibitors and suppliers.

Please note that we are only welcoming applications from candidates based in Wales and that the apprenticeship will involve a combination of remote working, and working with the Event Producer in Cardiff (dependent on where the candidate is located), also including a concentrated period in Cardiff closer to the event. The apprentice will be paid the national minimum wage for apprentices in addition to expenses.
