AIF and WMF to host Festival Masterclasses in Cardiff

08 Apr 2014

General Manager of the Association of Independent Festivals, Paul Reed has teamed up with the Welsh Music Foundation to bring two days of ‘master-classes’ to the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. With AIF’s first annual flagship event, The Festival Congress, taking place in conjunction with SWN Festival in October 2014 in Cardiff, the city was an ideal choice for AIF to host “Mastering Music Festivals: Creating And Running Music Festivals And Large Scale Events”, which will take place on 13 – 14 May.

Paul Reed will be joined by special guests to provide insight for aspiring and established Promoters, Festival Directors, Production Managers, Marketing Managers and a host of associated roles. With a particular focus on festivals and events within Wales, each day will feature practical discussions and encourage collaborative working to find solutions, alongside exploring relevant case studies.

The master classes will include coverage and exploration of hot topics such as sponsorship and funding, budgeting, marketing strategy, media engagement, and sustainable event management. To find out more and register for the event, visit the Welsh Music Foundation website.

Spaces are very limited.
Cost: £10 one day / £15 two days (includes lunch)
